​Our project "Diversifying the STEM Ecosystem" with Agreement Number: 2024-1-LV01-KA220-SCH-000250755 has been approved.
The Erasmus+ Key Action 2 Cooperation Partnership project “Diversifying the STEM Ecosystem”  is implemented within the school education sector from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2026. The project is funded by the European Union with a total budget of EUR 250,000.

The program will last 27 months and during this period there will be a kick-off meeting, a study visit , teacher training activities, project management meetings and students mobilities. The project offers special training and guidance to the teachers of the school through their training by the University of Latvia, which is the coordinating country of the project. However, there will also be activities for students, which will contribute to the strengthening of their rational thinking. Thus, students will acquire a positive attitude towards technology and science and cultivate lifelong skills, such as problem solving and inductive thinking. The aim of the entire program is to have a common starting point, to make choices in every life aspect with freedom, away from stereotypes and social establishments.
At the same time, the empowerment of girls regarding their STEM competences will be achieved. Exposing them to female role models and providing them with equal opportunities to engage in STEM games and activities has the potential to influence equal gender socialization.
Participants: Ozolnieki Seconday school Latvia (Coordinator), Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, University of Eastern Finland, Panevezys education centre(Lithuania), Szkola Podstawowa nr 3 im. Henryka Brodatego w Zlotoryi(Poland) and 7th Junior high school in Xanthi (Greece)
